CCYC is a structured academy where every student follows a clear path from beginner to champion, guided by coaches who genuinely care.
Our coaches hold FIDE Master titles, Ontario Teaching Certificates, and have competed at World Youth Championships. They teach chess and debate in a way that makes kids want to keep learning.
With 17+ chess levels from Newbie to Elite Master, your child is always challenged, never overwhelmed. Every student is placed at exactly the right level from day one.
One 1.5-hour class per week with groups running all week long, online and in person. Need to miss a week? Swap into another class at your level with 24+ hours' notice.
Chess and debate build critical thinking, focus, pattern recognition, and confident communication - skills that transfer directly to school performance, university, and career success.

Canada Chess & Debate Youth Club (CCYC) is a team of coaches who love teaching chess and debate to kids across the Greater Toronto Area. Our award-winning teachers bring years of competitive and teaching experience, along with a lot of patience.
Our school philosophy is simple: to spread education by teaching chess and debate while prioritizing student growth. We aim to educate our students to excel not only on the board or at the podium, but to take these critical thinking and life skills with them into the world.
Our coaches and students have represented Canada at World Youth Chess Championships, won multiple Ontario and Canadian championships, earned FIDE Master titles, and competed at universities including Harvard, Yale, and the University of Toronto.
